Garden of Exchange

THE EXCHANGE BOOKLET

This G.A.M.E. booklet can be obtained from various G.A.M.E. groups or downloaded from the links below. It is highly recommended NOT to make any transactions until one has attended at least one G.A.M.E. meeting or a private phone/Skype meeting with a facilitator, so as to fully understand the proper use of the G.A.M.E. booklet and the art of making fair transactions. Contact us for an on-site or online meeting.

The following links will allow you to download the G.A.M.E. booklet's cover and the inside pages in order to print it yourself. The cover is usually printed on a white or colored cardboard, and the inside pages on regular white paper. Most booklets contain 10 sheets, and each sheet records 12 transactions, for a total of 120 transactions per booklet. The layout may vary from one region/country to the next but the information requested is always the same.

INFORMATION TO WRITE IN THE BOOKLET

During an exchange, what type of information do I need to write in the G.A.M.E. booklet?

Remember that you must always write in the other person’s booklet and never in your own booklet, and vice versa. You need to write the following information in the appropriate places - using a pen! :)

From left to right, top to bottom

  • Date: which is the day the exchange is made;
  • Description of the exchange: write a short description of the product/service received or given.
  • Amount: write the number of G.A.M.E. points agreed for the exchange. You must circle the positive sign (if the person gives the product/service to you) or the negative sign (if the person receives the product/service from you).
  • Other's balance: write the balance of YOUR own booklet that appears once the amount of the exchange you just made is added to or subtracted from you rprevious balance. This information is important in case you lose your own booklet. You can get your balance by contacting the GAMEr you made your last exchange with. The other GAMEr’s booklet serves as a proof of your last balance.
  • Amount in Letters: write in letters the number of G.A.M.E. points agreed for the exchange. You must circle the positive sign (if the person gives the product or service to you) or the negative sign (if the person receives the product or service from you).
  • Other's name, email and/or telephone: write YOUR name, YOUR email and/or telephone
  • Balance: write the balance of the booklet you are writing in, after subtracting (when the minus sign is circled) or adding (when the plus sign is circled) the number of points agreed for this exchange to the previous balance that usually appears above (from the previous exchange).

Note: the layout of the G.A.M.E. booklets may vary from one region/country to the next. The important thing is that you must find ALL the information mentioned above, which is fundamental to the smooth working of the G.A.M.E. locally and worldwide.
